The objective of the Kelleys Island Landowners Association is to preserve the tranquility and beauty of this island by remaining constantly alert and vigilant to any situations that could adversely affect the needs of our members and the island itself. We provide a forum where members can have the opportunity to present ideas, problems, and information, and we bring all available information regarding Kelleys Island to Village Council and our members.
To be an active member of Kelleys Island Landowners Association, you must be an island landowner. If you are not a landowner and are interested in becoming part of KILA, associate memberships are available by contacting us.
We have monthly board meetings from April through October and the Annual Members Meeting in September. KILA holds several social events like the Welcome Back Potluck in June, Homecoming in August, and the Family Hayride in October. KILA also brings together all the candidates for an election year Candidates’ Forum in October giving you the opportunity to hear candidate’s platforms and get your questions answered. Our most important event each year is the annual Homecoming celebration held in August. Our Board publishes periodic newsletters. KILA uses its moneys to support many island services and organizations we all enjoy and appreciate and lead projects to enhance and improve Kelleys Island. Please visit the event calendar for details on when the events will be this year.
New members initial fee is $25. Returning members can keep their KILA memberships ‘Active’ for $10 per year. A donation to the island Crime Watch program is $10.
